Naturaw’s chicken head treats are sourced from free range chickens and freshly dehydrated with no additives or preservatives.

Chicken heads are high in nutrients! Naturaw’s chicken heads still have all of the organs inside, including the brain, eyes, and connective soft tissue from the skull, so they are high in DHA and omega fatty acids from the brain including riboflavin, vitamin A, vitamin B6, B9, and vitamin B12. They also contain glucosamine and chondroitin from the skull’s connective tissue.

Your dog will be running around like a headless chicken for these crunchy snacks!

  1. Marianna D. (Verified purchase)

Another product that I would have never considered feeding to my dog until I consulted with a staff member.

  2. Elaine (Verified purchase)

One of my dog’s favourite treats!

  3. ELAINE M. (Verified purchase)

My dog loves these chicken heads but it’s always in demand and often out of stock. I try to stock up when it’s available along with the chicken feet.

  4. Gayathri (Verified purchase)

Great mid day snack for small breed dogs

Question
After being dehydrated can the chicken head still contain salmonella and should still be handled as raw? J asked this question on March 26, 2021.
Answer
Hi J. Great question! The danger in dehydrating meat and poultry without cooking it to a safe temperature is that the dehydrator will not heat the meat to 160 °F and poultry to 165 °F — temperatures at which bacteria are destroyed. We dehydrate at 165 °F and the chicken heads can be handled as cooked, rather than raw. Peter F has answered.
